UniverAI ("the App", "we", "us") is an all-in-one AI app for chat with 38 specialized assistants, homework help, images, documents, websites, and a creative studio for generating images, voice, music, and video. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and — importantly — exactly what data we send to third-party AI services, who they are, and how you control it. In short: what we share with AI services
To answer you, UniverAI sends the content you submit — the text you type, photos you upload, text from PDFs or websites you provide, and any audio you record — together with the current conversation, to the third-party AI service needed for your request. Chat, image-understanding, document, and website answers are generated by large-language-model (LLM) providers such as Google (Gemini), OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, DeepSeek, Mistral, Groq, Moonshot, Alibaba (Qwen), Z.ai, and MiniMax. Step-by-step math and science solutions use Wolfram|Alpha. The Creative Tools send your prompts and media to fal.ai (image and video generation), ElevenLabs (text-to-speech, transcription, voice), and HeyGen (avatar video). Generated media may be stored on Wasabi cloud storage. UniverAI asks for your consent before you use AI features. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your conversations to advertise to you.
1. What data we collect
We collect only what we need to run the App and answer your requests:

2. Third-party AI services we share data with
When you use an AI feature, the content required to answer you is transmitted to the relevant AI provider over a secure connection. We send only what is needed for that request. The table below lists each AI service, who operates it, what is sent, and why. These providers process your input under their own privacy policies; we link to them below.

3. AI providers' own policies
Your input to these services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. LLM providers: Google Gemini (policies.google.com/privacy, ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms), OpenAI (openai.com/policies), Anthropic (anthropic.com/legal/privacy), xAI (x.ai/legal), DeepSeek, Mistral AI, Groq, Moonshot AI, Alibaba Cloud (Qwen), Z.ai, and MiniMax — each on their respective sites. Wolfram|Alpha: wolfram.com/legal/privacy. Creative providers: fal.ai (fal.ai/privacy-policy), ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io/privacy), and HeyGen (heygen.com/privacy-policy). Wasabi storage: wasabi.com/legal/privacy-policy. We send these providers only what is required for your request, and per their API terms data submitted through the paid/generative API is not used to train their general models.

We also use the following services to run accounts, payments, analytics, and ads:

5. Your consent and choices
Before you use an AI feature for the first time, UniverAI shows a notice explaining that your input will be sent to the relevant third-party AI services and asks you to agree. You can decline, and you can stop using AI features at any time. On iPhone, personalized ads also require your separate permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — if you decline, you still see non-personalized ads (free tier).
6. Where your data is stored
Your chats are stored on your device and, if you sign in, synced to Google Cloud Firestore so you can access them across devices and restore them. Media you generate or upload with Creative Tools is stored on Wasabi cloud storage and linked to your account. AI providers process your input to generate a response and return it; UniverAI does not operate its own servers that retain your raw prompts beyond what is stored in your account history.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and chat history until you delete them. You can delete an individual chat in the App, or delete your whole account and all associated cloud data (see the Delete Account page). Deletion is completed within 24 hours. Anonymous analytics and crash logs that cannot identify you may be retained for a limited period to improve stability.
8. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, Vietnam PDPD)
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. The fastest way is Setting → Account → Delete Account in the App, or email us (below). We do not sell personal data and do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Requests are handled within 24 hours.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. Sign-in is handled by Apple, Google, and Firebase Authentication — we never see your password. We use Firebase App Check to help ensure requests come from the genuine App.
10. Children
UniverAI is rated 4+ (App Store) / Everyone (Google Play) and is intended for general audiences, including students. There is no chat, messaging, or contact between users, so a child cannot communicate with strangers through the App. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or the local equivalent). In-app purchases are governed by Apple's and Google's parental-control tools. See our Child Safety Standards page.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and notify you in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
